«Pure emotion, four-handed – that’s Poskute and Daukantas»
Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung about the piano duo
Even today, Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Ballet fascinates young and old. The renowned piano duo, Vilija Poskute and Tomas Daukantas, founded in 2000, carries you into the world of the Nutcracker Suite, a world full of marching tin soldiers, sugar fairies and dancing flowers.
This would probably not have been possible without Mozart: with his Sonata for two pianos, he opened the door to music for two pianos. The virtuoso exchange between the two instruments reveals Mozart’s wit, which always conjures up a smile on the lips of both the performers and the audience.
